The next morning we did not explore the city like we had planned but rather tried to return the camera. The store refused to take it back because it was our mistake. However, they said we could try to go to their warehouse. So, once again we took off in the now POURING rain and walked 30 minutes to the headquarters. After a gruelling 15 minute inspection of the camera they decided it was still in perfect condition and they took it back even though they don't usually do that. However, we did not get our money back so we had to buy the more expensive camera and pay the difference. Basically, it's the 2015 version of the camera I had before. As we walked out of the store the rain stopped and the sun started to come out. We were so happy to finally have a good camera again and start anew.
We then decided to go to the Hungarian baths located in the Pest side of the city (Budapest is divided by a canal into two sections- Buda and Pest). The Hungarian baths are public pools fed by hot springs. The one we went to had saunas, hot baths, warm baths and cold baths. Katherine says it was similar to the Nordic Spa except it was natural and cheaper. The sun was out and we had a great time switching from one pool to the next.
We then took off to the Buda side of the city and took in some amazing views of Pest. The Parliament building must be one of the nicest buildings I have ever seen. After a great day we finished by having some delicious goulash and playing a little pool in a nearby restaurant. We had a great day where nothing went wrong. Our fortunes were bound to change... And they did- stay tuned. We are now on our way to Croatia!
